Counting Down to Action.

Well Ladies and Gentlemen there are just a bit more than 5 weeks till the event.  I am getting excited and prepared.

I am looking over the list of original texts to choose from that Christoph Amberger is making available for attendees to peruse.  I feel like a kid in a candy shop.  I hardly know where to begin.   I can assure you that no other event in the US or probably anywhere in the world will have an opportunity like this.  Facsimiles and reproductions are nice but there is something about holding an original text that is much like holding an original weapon.  It speaks to you even if it is in a language you don't read.

I am practicing the physical skills and drill  I want to present. I am  picking out some new tunes for Sunday morning.  For those of you practicing for the tournament I will give you a hint.  Open up your Angelo and re-read pages 82 through 94.  If you have a copy of Phil Crawley's excellent translation of Girard you also want to look at the section dealing with plates 49 through 75.

Folks have mentioned something of a money crunch this year so we will not do a pre-pay  dinner on Saturday evening  but will reserve some space at a restaurant near the venue and you can order food and drink to suit your means. I will have the details this week.  The location and that of the Friday night meet and greet will be announced then.  Also to help out those who are fiscally challenged I will hold off on any price increases for the time being.

Do you want to support the Symposium but can not attend?  All proceeds from St Martin's The Art of Fencing Reduced to True Principles  go toward the event.  It can be purchased HERE

It is not too late for vendors and sponsors to partner with us.  Contact me here and we can discuss the possibilities.

Hope to see you all there!
